Welcome to The Center for Medical Transport Research - We're glad you chose to visit us today.

The critical care transport community faces increasing pressures to operate safely in competitive and cost-conscious healthcare markets while providing excellence in patient care. A core belief driving the development of The Center for Medical Transport Research is that global connections formed to analyze the effectiveness, efficiency and equity in critical care transport systems can impact the quality and safety of patient care across various payer systems and diverse public policy environments. The Center will serve as a secure and neutral platform for scientific collaboration with resources for data management and research project development.

One major goal of The Center is to become completely self-sufficient through grants and research funding. Our core strategy, and key to success, is to provide a trusted and value based research repository funded through industry and partner stakeholder support.

To date, The Center has been subsidized through donations from the following supporters -

The Center has also been awarded Grant Funding from the following:

MedEvac Foundation International

AMOA - Air Medical Operators Association

Association of Air Medical Services

Safety Stories

The Safety Story project continues to grow through the Center for Medical Transport Research. In February 2011, eight storytellers gathered in Denver, Colorado to tell stories about safety – and survival! Five members of the air medical industry’s Survivor Network came to the group to tell their stories of crash survival – what helped in the midst of the event as well as the struggle back to a whole new life. Two other storytellers talk about their role in what they now see as near misses.  Read more.

LOOKING FOR SAFETY STORIES

Do you have an experience that brings safety into focus when you discuss this topic with your colleagues?  Do you believe that your story is compelling enough to move others to focus on safe practices around their aircraft or ground transport vehicle?  Do you wish that you could share your story with everyone in the industry?  more…
